Every year when Christmas is over, I take an afternoon to remove all the holiday decor and tuck everything back into its respective box. As much as I enjoy decorating the house with all my vintage Christmas items, I always love the look of the house when things are a bit more sparse and simple. Like so many people, I gravitate to the "winter whites" for January. I have a decent collection of white McCoy pottery that I love to take out and display with just a few touches of greenery and maybe a few vintage books (imagine that). Most of the time I keep the look up until February. It's nice to simplify after the rush of the holiday season! Earlier this year I found this book Shades of White. It's a Country Living publication that has so many inspiring looks for your home in neutral tones. I am looking forward to getting some inspiration later this week!
